Skin freaking out? Same. 🫣✨

I’ve got a routine to fix stress breakouts, calm your mind and get you moving with a workout that’s been saving my sanity.

Hi beautiful, ā˜•ļø

This past week?

Let me set the scene…

Deadlines piled up, my kids tested every ounce of patience, and by Thursday, my skin threw in a breakout. Love that for me. šŸ™ƒ

It was one of those "everything's on fire" weeks šŸ”„.

If you're feeling the same—stressed, overwhelmed, and in chaos—I see you.

I’ve been in survival mode and got tips that helped me stay (mostly) sane:

  • Dealing with stress breakouts šŸ«£ (goodbye, Mount Zit).

  • Hacks to calm your mind šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø when life’s a whirlwind.

  • The workout routine that saved my sanity and boosted my energy šŸ‹ļøā€ā™€ļø.

More on that later… šŸ˜‰

Stress breakouts don’t stand a chance 🫣✨

Me: Totally fine, not stressed at all. Also me: Internally screaming.

Oh, stress pimples.

They pop up at the WORST time, don’t they?

Like, sure, I’m already stressed, so why not throw a Mount Everest zit into the mix?

But don’t worry—I’ve done the homework (for both of us).

Here’s what works and why:

  1. Keep your hands OFF your face šŸ›‘
Every time you touch your face, you’re transferring bacteria, dirt, and who-knows-what-else to your skin.
Tip: Keep a cute hand sanitizer or hand cream nearby. Every time you’re tempted to touch, use it instead—bonus, your hands will smell amazing!

  2. Invest in a SA cleanser 🧼
Stress breakouts usually mean clogged pores, so a good salicylic acid cleanser is a lifesaver. This one is a favourite to help reduce redness and to clear out gunk while calming angry skin.
Tip: Use it in the shower so it has time to work while you enjoy some steam therapy.

  3. Ice ice baby ā„ļø
If you feel a pimple coming on, grab an ice cube, wrap it in a clean cloth, and hold it on the spot for a minute or two. It’s like a fast-forward button for shrinking redness and swelling.
Tip: Follow up with an acne clearing solution to help it go down!

  4. Hydrate like it’s your job šŸ’§
Don’t skip moisturizer! I know it feels counterintuitive, but stressed-out skin still needs hydration. Go for something lightweight and soothing, like an all-in-one moisturizer.
Tip: Look for one with niacinamide—it’s like a calming hug for your face and helps even out redness.

  5. Treat yourself to a calming mask šŸ›
When my skin feels stressed, I grab a 10 minute mask. It’s an instant chill-out session for both my skin and mind.
Tip: Leave it on while scrolling TikTok (yay it’s back…for now) or sipping tea—it’s my favorite way to multitask self-care.

Finding calm in the chaos…

When stress hits its peak, keeping calm feels impossible.

The good news? I’ve found simple tricks that actually help.

Here’s what I lean on when everything feels like too much:

  • 5-5-5 Rule
This one’s magic. Pause and focus on: 5 things you can see, 5 things you can hear, 5 things you can feel. It brings you back to the moment and quiets the chaos.
Tip: Try this outside for even more grounding.

  • Brain Dump
Get everything out of your head and onto paper—no structure, no filter.
Tip: Circle three small things you can tackle first to ease overwhelm.

  • Move Your Body
Even a quick stretch or a two-minute walk can shift your energy.
Tip: Pair this with your favorite music for an instant mood boost.

  • Set the Vibe
Light a candle or spritz a calming room spray—it’s an instant mood reset.
Tip: Keep a soothing scent on hand, like lavender.

  • Laugh It Off
Throw on a funny video or scroll your saved memes. Laughter lightens the load.
Tip: Keep a ā€œlaugh folderā€ on your phone for quick access when you need it.

Finding calm doesn’t have to be hard. Start small, and see what works for you!

Step 1: Wear the gear. Step 2: Convince myself to actually move.

Quick sweat, zero regrets šŸ’Ŗ

When life feels like too much, moving my body is the last thing I want to do…

…but it’s also what helps the most.

Even a quick routine makes me feel stronger, calmer, and more energized.

Here’s the simple workout I’ve been doing when I need a mental and physical reset:

1. Quick Warm-Up šŸš¶ā€ā™€ļø
A 5-10 minute walk or light cardio to get my blood flowing. It’s like hitting the ā€œonā€ button for my energy.
Tip: If you’re short on time, walk in place or do a few jumping jacks—it doesn’t have to be fancy.

2. Easy Circuit šŸ‹ļøā€ā™€ļø
I stick to simple moves like squats, push-ups, and planks. 15 minutes, tops. It’s quick, but it gets the job done.
Tip: Set a timer for 45 seconds per move and 15 seconds to rest—it keeps things focused and fast.

3. Stretch It Out šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø
A 5-minute stretch at the end feels SO good. It calms my body and clears my mind.
Tip: Focus on stretches that feel good for you, like reaching for your toes or a gentle twist.

No matter how crazy life gets, you’ve got the power to find little moments that make you feel good.

Start small, keep it simple, and give yourself grace along the way.

You’re doing amazing! See you next week. šŸ’•
