Aging and skin secrets I wish I knew sooner...🤫✨

Hormone-friendly skincare, easy wellness hacks, and what’s actually working to keep my skin clear, my routine simple, and confidence high as I handle aging surprises! šŸŒŸšŸ™ƒ

Hi beautiful! ā˜•ļø

Real talk…ever look in the mirror and think, ā€œWait—when did this start happening?ā€

Aging has been throwing some surprises my way…

Fine lines, random aches, and a feeling like time’s on fast-forward. šŸ˜…

And don’t even get me started on hormones—they’ve got my skin acting out like a rebellious teen. šŸ™ƒ

So this week, I’m sharing what’s actually working: a few tricks to make aging fun, hormone-balancing skincare, and a little win that reminded me how magic happens outside the comfort zone. 🌟

Let’s dive in!

pre-period skin struggles are real. This is my skin usually a week before šŸ˜…

hormone-balancing skincare glow is the best kind ✨

Hormone-happy skincare (because your skin has mood swings too šŸ˜‚)

Let’s be real: hormones and skin are basically frenemies.

One day I’m glowing, the next… I’m dealing with breakouts, redness, and all the oil.

Here’s what I’ve found that actually works—without making things worse. šŸ™ƒ

1. pH-Balancing Cleanser
Hormonal skin loves to overreact, so I stick with a pH-balancing cleanser. When my skin feels sensitive and out of whack, this calms things down without stripping natural oils. TIP: Keeping that pH in check is key to a balanced, happier face. ✨

2. Lactic Acid Serum
Hormones have a way of making my skin look dull, so this lactic acid serum is my secret weapon for smoother, more even skin.
TIP: A little at night, and by morning, my skin has that soft glow I’ve missed. šŸ’¤

3. Anti-Blemish Spot Treatment
Breakouts always pop up when you least expect it. This spot remover is a lifesaver! A couple of nights, and those pesky pimples don’t stand a chance. šŸŽÆ
TIP: I dab a little right on the breakout, and the salicylic acid gets to work overnight.

4. Dark Spot Treatment
Hormones leave behind dark spots that seem to hang around forever. This dark spot sleep milk helps fade them over time, so my skin looks more even. šŸŒ™
TIP: I apply a thin layer before bed and wake up with skin that’s a little brighter each day.

5. Skin-Balancing Toner & BHA Liquid
This skin balancing toner with BHA liquid exfoliant duo is a must for balancing oil and keeping my pores clear, especially when my hormones are in overdrive. šŸ’«
TIP: A quick swipe a few times a week, and it keeps my skin from looking dewy without drying it out.

Getting older…and what actually helped me

Okay, let’s call it what it is: getting older feels weird.

Mentally, I’m watching time fly, and physically...hello, random aches.

Kids speed this up—I swear they were babies five minutes ago! 🄹

Here’s what’s made me feel a little less ā€œancient.ā€ šŸ‘‡ļø

  • Stretch Like It’s My Job šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø
I spend 10 minutes each morning stretching—think yoga, minus the pretzel moves. My body thanks me, and it’s a good reminder that I’m staying in the game (even if my joints disagree).

  • Girl Talk with a Good Friend šŸ“ž
Sometimes, you need that brutally honest friend who’s like, ā€œHey, we’re all aging—let’s own it.ā€ One call, and I feel way less dramatic. Plus, venting? Highly therapeutic.

  • Celebrate the Little Wins šŸ„‚
No Friday night plans needed—I’m celebrating tiny wins, like actually remembering to take my vitamins & drinking enough water throughout the day. These little things feel like a cheers-worthy moment.

  • Prioritize Self-Care (Not Just a Trend) šŸ§“
Taking care of my skin and body is my ā€œme time.ā€ Even if it’s just a face mask, it reminds me I’m worth the effort, fine lines and all.

  • Find Something to Look Forward To āœˆļø
Doesn’t have to be a big trip—sometimes a solo shopping run is all I need, or carving out 20 minutes to read that book I’ve been putting off. Planning something, anything, keeps the excitement alive. And we all deserve that.

Off to my last class! šŸš— Here’s to finishing what we start—even when it’s a little scary!

Finishing what you started…

So, remember that class I told you I was taking?

Yep, I finished it! And get this—I had to speak in front of people!

Yep, me, the one who talks on camera but still gets those nerves when it’s in front of people.

Who would’ve thought?

Doing something uncomfortable was huge for me.

I tell my kids all the time, ā€œKeep going, don’t give up,ā€ but when I actually had to follow my own advice?

Let’s just say it was hard. But here’s the thing:

āœ”ļø Finishing Something Scary is the Best Feeling
I’m telling you—pushing through the nerves, the excuses, the ā€œmaybe I’ll do it next weekā€ thoughts—it’s all worth it. I came out the other side, and it felt amazing. šŸŽ‰

āœ”ļø Practice What You Preach
I tell my kids every day to stick with things even when they’re hard, so actually doing this felt good. Next time they need encouragement, I’ve got a fresh reminder to say, ā€œSee? Mom did it. You can too.ā€ šŸ™Œ
